I tried to use my Epson Perfection V600 scanner with El Capitan, connected with a USB 2 cable. The OS does not recognize the scanner. I tried a different cable with the same results. I spent a hour on the phone with Epson support, and they finally came to the conclusion that it was Apple's fault.
I asked about a new driver to work with El Capitan and they assured me that they were working on it and would have something by the end of the year! I guess I should put my scanner away for 2 months.' Upgrading' to El Capitan was the worst decision I made all year. (The upgrade also lost almost all of myApple Mail inbox). I am appalled at Apple's lack of responsibility or concern for the problems they have created with this bug-filled product, and I am not very pleased with Epson either.

The Canon copiers are using access codes however the Laniers are not. This user prints primarily to the Lanier copier. Another Mac user that sits next to her has not done the latest Apple update and she can print fine. The user having issues could print fine before the update also. I have tried the 'Reset Print System' in System Preferences under Printers and Scanners which basically deleted all printers.
When I try to reinstall the printers by IP address I get an error that the Mac cannot see the printers on the network. Penny,On the Mac try typing the IP address for the Lanier in a web browser. If this works then it can actually reach the copier.
If this works then we should be able to set it up and get it to print. Is the other mac printing through wireless too?
I have had where the wireless router is not routing properly between the wireless and wired networks. Anyway if you can get to the printer through a web browser then try the following steps to see if it works.1. Open System Preferences-Printers & Scanners2. Click the at the bottom to add a printer3.
